API keys

API keys

With an API key (if available), your own systems can work with the meetings of your account through the API of the platform, for example to schedule meetings from your intranet. Your platform administrator decides whether API keys are available. See Features.

You find “API keys” under “Account settings” in the left hand side navigation.

Create an API key

  1. Click on the “Add” button.
  2. Enter a “Name” and, if you like, a “Comment”, for example which system uses the key.
  3. Click on “Create API key”.

The new key is shown once: “API Key generated, store it carefully”. Copy it and keep it in a safe place. It will not be possible to retrieve or restore it later.

The keys of your account give access to meetings only. Each key counts as one user of your account. When your account has reached the number of users it allows, you cannot create another key.

Manage your API keys

The list shows the “Name”, the “Prefix”, the “Comment” and the “State” of each key. The prefix helps you recognize a key without seeing it.

  • To change a key, click the pencil icon. In “Update API Key” you can change the name and the comment, and set the key “Active” or “Inactive”. An inactive key no longer works.
  • To delete keys, select the check box(es) in front of them and click on the red “Delete selected API keys” button.

How to use the API is described in the developer documentation.
