The ‘Questions’ tab only appears in webinars. During a Webinar meeting you will have extra options available in your meeting room (raise hand, ask question). Depending on the permissions granted by your moderator you will also be able to see the full menu of actions (agenda, screensharing, documents, etc.) or only a selection of these.
Your moderator can grant you different rights for example screensharing, video or audio, etc.
To be given those rights, you can either raise your hand or ask a question. Your raised hand or question will be seen by the moderator in his interface.
When your question is answered or the access to a specific action is granted you can again lower your hand.

In some webinars you join as a listener only. The join page then has no device test and no ‘Join with’ choice, and you only see and hear the speakers. The list of participants is only visible to the moderators.
When a moderator answers, the answer appears under your question, marked ‘Answered’.
When a moderator gives you the floor, the others can hear and see you. The moderator can take it back at any time.
Before a webinar goes online, you may see a short text from the meeting organizer instead of the speakers. The webinar starts for you as soon as the moderator goes online.
In some webinars you cannot switch between tools yourself, and you follow what the presenter opens.
The meeting organizer can split a meeting into smaller groups in breakout rooms (if available). Your platform administrator decides whether breakout rooms are available.
Meetings with interpreters have language channels (if available).
On the join page you choose:
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| ‘Speaking language’ | The language you speak in the meeting |
| ‘Listening language’ | The language you want to hear. ‘Floor’ is the original sound of the meeting; any other language is the interpreter's channel. |

In the meeting room you change your listening language under ‘Language channel’ in ‘Settings’ (classic layout: ‘Tools’). While you listen to an interpreter, the original sound is muted. Switch off ‘Mute floor’ if you want to hear the original sound quietly in the background.
