New “Be Right Back” Status
Participants can now set a “Be Right Back” status. This works in a similar way to muting audio or video but also allows for a short custom message. A participant stepping away for a few minutes can signal that they will return shortly without leaving the meeting.
Mute Controls in Picture-in-Picture
The Picture-in-Picture view now includes buttons to mute the microphone and camera. This makes it possible to adjust audio and video settings in the compact view. While working in another application, a participant can quickly mute their microphone without switching back to the main meeting window.
Extended Chat History with Dates
In the chat history, the date is now shown in addition to the time if a message is more than 24 hours old. This makes it easier to place longer conversations in context. A team can better track when specific agreements were made.
Option to Disable Video Reception
There is now an option to completely disable receiving video. This setting is helpful for users who want to conserve bandwidth or focus only on audio. In large meetings with many participants, turning off video reception can improve connection stability.
Transcription of Recordings for White Label and Veeting Corporate
White Label and Veeting Corporate customers can now have recordings transcribed automatically. Available options include adapters for DeepVA and OpenAI. This makes it easier to search and document meeting content. For example, a note-taker can quickly compile the key discussion points of a longer meeting. This feature is not available in the standard Veeting Rooms version.
